Kakolu is around 8 km from Avarkhandapura and approximately 35 km from Bangalore. The gentlemen who gave the key for Venugopala Swamy temple in Aivarkhandapura, suggested and provided route to this place. It was all greenery from Aivarkhandapura to Kakolu through KMF Nandini farm route. Inhale the freshness of the air that will take you to the magical place. The road in few stretch is not good.
The speciality of this temple is Lord Krishna is carved out on a life size Brindavanam and next to this sanctom is the idol of Hanuman carved on a pillar with the conch and discus on either sides with the Garuda at the back. As per the priest this temple about 500 years old. People are not aware of the history of this temple. On searching internet, we found pdf document regarding this.
